The Five Year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) program seeks to build a strong relationship between law and social science. This enables a student to fully understand as to how law can effectively be used as a means of social change. The B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) program at School of Law, Sandip University offers Sociology, Economics or Political Science as major areas of study and English and Mass Communication as additional minor areas of study. This will complement the wide range of law subjects that the student would be required to undertake as part of the program.
• There are six subjects in each semester except semesters nine and ten, which have only five subjects in each
• In the fourth semester, students of the B.A.LL. B. (Hons.) program have the option to select the major area of study in Economics, Sociology or Political Science by studying in semesters four, five and six additional subjects in their chosen area
• Students also have the option of pursuing 3 papers of mass communication instead of opting for a major in any one of the aforementioned areas
• In the sixth semester, students may select any one specific area in Law out of five honors areas (Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Business Law, Intellectual Property Rights Law or International Law) and are required to study eight subjects from the respective honors group.
